Recycling

Have you ever noticed when buying plastic bottles on fizzy drinks, or cans or some glass bottles that your shopping bill seems a little more expensive than you think it should be? That is because whenever you buy such items you get charged an additional amount on top of the list price of the thing you are buying to ensure you recycle your cans and bottles – clever hey!

You will see machines like this in most supermarkets – if you take your empty bottles and cans and feed them into the right machines you will get that extra money that you paid back in the form of a receipt which can be spent in the store as credit or cashed in at the till. You also have the option to donate that money to the Red Cross on most machines that I have used if you are feeling charitable.

Bottles are usually 1-2 sek depending on the size and cans are 50 ore but you will be surprised how quickly this can add up!

So don’t throw away your bottles in Sweden you may be throwing away a small fortune!

Panta mera!

Hej då!
